Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF)
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) has also gained popularity in the field of aesthetics, particularly in cosmetic procedures. PRF can be used to rejuvenate the skin and improve its appearance. During a PRF treatment, a small amount of blood is drawn from the patient and then centrifuged to obtain PRF rich in growth factors and platelets. The PRF is then applied to the skin via microneedling or injected into targeted areas. The growth factors released from the PRF help stimulate cell regeneration and collagen production, resulting in a smoother and more radiant complexion.
Microneedling
Microneedling is a popular cosmetic procedure in which a device is used to puncture the skin and create tiny microchannels. Using microneedling, skin concerns such as acne scars, wrinkles, large pores, dark spots, uneven skin tone, and stretch marks can be treated. These microchannels created on the skin promote collagen and elastin production, resulting in skin rejuvenation and a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Microneedling is generally considered safe and minimally invasive, with minimal downtime and few side effects. Microneedling can be performed by itself, or it can be combined with PRF, PRP, or exosomes for added benefit.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP is a treatment that utilizes the growth factors found in a person's own blood to promote tissue healing and regeneration. The PRP treatment involves drawing a small amount of blood from the patient, which is then processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelets and plasma from other blood components. The resulting platelet-rich plasma is then injected back into the patient's face to promote skin healing and regeneration. PRP injections are minimally invasive, and the procedure typically takes less than an hour to complete. Clients usually require multiple treatments to achieve optimal results.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are cosmetic treatments that involve injecting gel-like substances beneath the skin to restore volume, shape, and youthfulness to the face. These fillers can be used to soften facial wrinkles and creases, enhance facial contours, and plump up thin lips. Dermal fillers are minimally invasive and provide immediate results with little to no downtime, making them a popular treatment for people looking to improve the appearance of their face.
Exosome Therapy
Exosome therapy is a rapidly developing field in regenerative medicine that involves the use of exosomes, small vesicles released by cells, to promote tissue repair and regeneration. Exosomes carry various biomolecules such as proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids, which can modulate cellular signaling and promote tissue repair.
Neurotoxins (Botox™, Xeomin™)
Neurotoxin is a prescription medicine that is primarily known for its cosmetic use in reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Neurotoxin injections work by temporarily paralyzing or weakening the muscles that cause wrinkles, giving the skin a smoother and more youthful appearance. The duration of the cosmetic effect typically lasts 3 to 4 months, but it may vary depending on the individual.
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are a type of cosmetic treatment that involve applying a chemical solution to the skin to exfoliate the outermost layers, revealing smoother and more youthful-looking skin underneath. Chemical peels can be used to treat a variety of skin concerns, such as acne, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles.
